Supplies
- Fronts of old Christmas cards
- Back of one card
- Scrap of ribbon about 1 foot long
- Scissors
- Pen or pencil
- glue stick or white school glue
- Ornament Template

Step 1
- Print out the ornament template -->
- Paste the template onto the back of one card
- Cut out the template circle and triangle
|

Step 2
- On the backs of the card fronts, trace around the circle
- Trace a total of 20 circles.
|

Step 3
- take the triangle and place it inside each circle
- trace around the triangle in each circle
|
|
Step 4
- Cut out the 20 circles
|
|
Step 5
- fold each triangle along the lines
- You now have 20 triangles with folded tabs
|
|
Step 6
- Choose 10 triangles for the middle of your ornament
- Glue one tab from each of the 10 triangles to form a strip with one up and one down
(see photo for reference)

Step 7
- Take 5 triangles and glue them as below and in the photo
- 3 on the bottom row, one down, one up and one down
- two on top of the 3, both with points up.

Step 8
- Repeat step 7 so that you now have 2 parts with 5 triangles (a top and a bottom)

Step 9
- Tie the two ends of the ribbon together
- Place the knotted end of the ribbon inside the top
- Glue the open ends of the top shut

Step 10
- Glue the open ends of the bottom shut
- Glue the two ends of the strip together to form a circle. This is the middle of the ornament
- You now have 3 sections; a top (with ribbon) a middle and a bottom

Step 11
- Glue the tabs of the bottom onto the bottom of the middle strip
|
|
Step 12
- Glue the top onto the top of the ornament
|
|
And that's it! You now have a beautiful paper Christmas ornament to hang on your tree or give as a Christmas gift.
